The Rev. John Deng Ater, (Louisville, KY) recently returned from a two-week trip to South Sudan. The trip provided an opportunity to observe first-hand the situation in South Sudan, visit an orphanage in Yei, report on the impact of humanitarian aid, and meet with the Bishops of the Anglican Church of South Sudan to discuss peace initiatives and their relationship with the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
